POWR Baltic Stories Exchange –
an international pitch forum for scriptwriters
November 27th – 29th 2017, Tallinn, Estonia
Deadline for application – August 15th, 2017
POWR is looking to select 7 feature film projects in the early stages of development that are actively seeking producers. Selected screenwriters will be invited to get pitch-training and to present their projects at the POWR Baltic Stories Exchange, which takes place during the Baltic Event Co-production Market.
POWR Workshop is aimed at giving mainly Nordic and Baltic scriptwriters access to an informal and international forum where they can present their projects and writing talent during the largest regional film market in North-Eastern Europe. This year we also invite talents from Baltic Event’s focus region Flanders, Belgium to apply to POWR!
We train the 7 screenwriters to pitch their projects through group sessions, talks and rehearsals during our 2,5-day workshop. It is an open, generous, and sharing atmosphere, headed by our main tutor, Valeria Richter (Denmark/TFL), pitch coach Helene Granqvist (Sweden) and selected industry guests. The final pitch will be approx. 5 minutes per project followed by a round table session where you will meet selected producers and other film industry representatives, who will share their feedback and advice. POWR is an intensive and fun experience, mixing project work and networking events.
The workshop is organized by Baltic Event in collaboration with the region’s Creative Europe MEDIA Desks and TorinoFilmLab (TFL).
